Equipment

  • 2 mixing bowls one for wet ingredients and one for dry ingredients.
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Measuring Cup
  • 1 measuring spoons set
  • 1 Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  • Mix dry ingredients
    In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Mix wet ingredients.
    In another bowl, mix melted butter, egg, milk and vanilla extract.
  • Combine.
    Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stir until combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy which helps pancakes become fluffy
  • Heat pan.
    Over medium heat, lightly butter pan and wait until hot.
  • Cook pancakes.
    Pour batter onto skillet and cook until bubble form. ~ 2-3 minutes. flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve warm and with real maple syrup.

Notes

Avoid overmixing as this will cause a dense pancake.
