Homeschool curriculum while RVing: Blue Ridge Learning Co. was founded at the beginning of Theo’s Kindergarten year and will serve as the foundation for how each of our kids begins their learning journey.
My goal is simple: I want learning to be fun. I want our kids to be curious, excited to learn, and eager to ask questions—not just focused on finishing the next worksheet or checking a box. I want to build that foundation early and give them the freedom to learn through hands-on activities, nature, books, creativity, and real-life experiences.
I’ve always felt that some of my own eagerness to learn got lost somewhere along the way in a traditional school setting.
With Blue Ridge Learning Co., I want to approach education differently. I’m drawn to a Montessori-inspired philosophy where children are encouraged to explore, develop independence, follow their interests, and learn through doing.
This is just the beginning, and I’ll be sharing what we use, what we create, what we love, and what we learn along the way as Blue Ridge Learning Co. grows with our family.

Learning Through Curiosity, Creativity & Imagination
Learning has become one of my greatest passions as an adult. I’m not a certified teacher—I’m simply someone who loves to learn.
Over the years, I’ve taught myself new skills, helped train coworkers, and, since starting HikeCookShare in 2022, I’ve continued to grow by creating, experimenting, and learning every step of the way.
At the heart of it all has always been a dream to homeschool. I love educational toys, hands-on activities, children’s books, exploring museums, meeting new people, and—let’s be honest—a cozy local coffee shop is almost always a highlight of our day!
Blue Ridge Learning Co. is where I’ll share our homeschool journey with my little ones—the activities we’re loving, the curriculum we’re trying, educational products we genuinely enjoy, simple DIY learning ideas, field trips, and practical tips that make learning feel fun and approachable.
My hope is to encourage other families to embrace curiosity, create meaningful memories, and discover that learning doesn’t just happen at a desk—it happens everywhere.

Homeschool Curriculum while RVing
We are starting our homeschool journey with The Good and the Beautiful, and so far, I’m really liking how simple it is to get started. One of my favorite things about the curriculum is that you can print the Language Arts and Math materials yourself, which makes it affordable and convenient for homeschooling in an RV.
Technically, I could print everything myself. I actually tried! But then I realized my printer was printing the pages out of order, and as a Type B mom, I quickly decided I needed this to be as low-maintenance as possible.
So I bought the printed materials instead, and honestly, sign me up. I’m saving printer ink, I don’t have to spend time figuring out which page goes where, and the books are already organized and ready to use.
The printed materials are also really nice quality. My printer was able to print the pages beautifully, so if you have a good printer and don’t mind doing the assembly yourself, printing at home is definitely an option.
For me, though, when it comes to homeschool curriculum while RVing, having everything already printed, organized, and ready to use is absolutely worth it.
