This is a fun project that you will thank yourself for, once it is finished. Busy books are one of our favorites to play with. It helps encourage your little one to play independently, learn and you can add as you go so they are constantly learning new material.

There are many different free learning resources out there that give you the templates, all you have to do is print it out, cut some things, attach the velcro dots, laminate pages and put it all together in the binder.

Supplies

  • Large Binder
  • Dry erase markers/eraser
  • Zip lock baggie
  • Velcro Dots
  • Computer, paper, printer, black/colored ink
  • Laminator Machine, Laminator sheets
  • Hole Puncher

Resources

Here are some websites I used in his busy book – there are so many activities that are free and fun to use.

https://www.tribobot.com/

https://playingtots.com/

https://preschoolmom.com/

https://totschooling.net

Most sites have their activities grouped by age so it makes it easy to find activities.

Cover page

Making a cover page was a fun way to display the book and get him interested.

I used Canva.com to create a fun page for intro!

Organize Content

In our book, I chose to focus on the Alphabet first – I printed off A-Z clipart for coloring, velcro alphabet, tracing letters, and a velcro name caterpillar.

Coloring pages
Velcro the alphabet- helps with dexterity and matching
Tracing letters
helps them recognize their name and practice
