Toasted Coconut Chocolate Whipped Pudding

This dessert combines the richness of dark chocolate with the tropical twist of toasted coconut, creating a heavenly flavor explosion. Plus, it’s made with wholesome ingredients for a guilt-free indulgence!

Ingredients:

Milk- Creates that decadent and indulgence your looking for

Egg Yolks- Creates the moist texture, Rich in protein
Gelatin- Thickener 

Cocoa Powder-  Unsweetened and good quality. 
Salt- Enhances flavor
Vanilla- Flavor
Maple Syrup- Sweetener 
Whip Cream- Heavy whipping cream or store bought will do

Shredded Coconut (Toasted)- Crunchy texture

Chocolate, Shaved- Adds flavor and crunch

Instructions:

  1. Add and Wisk on medium high, milk and cocoa powder.
  2. In a large bowl, crack eggs separate yolk and whites and put yolk in large bowl. 
  3. Whisk in Gelatin.
  4. Add vanilla and  milk. Whisk gently until incorporated.
  5. Before milk boils remove and gently pour into egg mixture VERY SLOWLY while whisking rapidly. (If poured to fast eggs will scramble) At this point your tempering your eggs and bringing them up to a high temp slowly
  6. Once mixed together add back to sauce pan and whisk on low med heat. You will be able to see a pudding like consistency after a couple mins of whisking.
  7. Once smooth, add butter and whisk until you see a shiny smooth pudding like texture.
  8. Let it cool.
  9. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Yes, you can make eggless pudding by using cornstarch or other thickeners to achieve a creamy texture.

How long does it take for pudding to set?

Pudding typically takes 2-4 hours to set in the refrigerator.

How to prevent a skin from forming on the pudding’s surface?

Place plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the pudding before refrigerating. This helps create a seal and keeps the pudding smooth.
